Ab Initio Graphical Development Environment (GDE) is a visual design tool for building, testing, and deploying high‑performance data processing applications. Using a drag‑and‑drop canvas and a rich library of reusable components, teams assemble “graphs” that define ETL/ELT, data integration, and data quality workflows for both batch and real‑time use cases. GDE generates executable jobs for the Ab Initio Co>Operating System and leverages native parallelism to scale from single servers to distributed environments. It includes interactive debugging, data sampling, and performance profiling, along with parameterization to promote solutions across development, test, and production. Integration with the Enterprise Meta>Environment (EME) provides version control, metadata management, and end‑to‑end lineage. Built‑in connectors support common files, databases, and messaging systems, while governance features help enforce standards and security. The result is a consistent, enterprise‑grade environment that accelerates delivery of reliable, scalable data pipelines.

Ab Initio Graphical Development Environment is developed by Ab Initio. The most popular versions of this product among our users are: 3.0 and 3.1. The name of the program executable file is gde.exe.
